The awards are given at the ABM Week of the year following the year of the paper’s presentation.
What are the awards?
Each award is determined by the sponsor, but it is currently R$ 12,000.00, except for the ENEMET award, which is R$ 6,000.00. The gross amount is subject to Income Tax withholding, according to current legislation.
How is the award divided among the authors?
The value of each award is divided only among the authors who are current ABM members, both in the year of the paper's presentation and in the year of the award, and is deposited by ABM into each author’s account.
Can a submitted but not presented paper compete for the awards?
No. Only presented papers are eligible for the awards.
If an author of an award-winning paper was not an ABM member in the year of presentation but joined later, are they eligible for the award?
No, the author must be an ABM member both in the year of the paper's presentation and in the following year, when the award is given.
